Advanced plans ensure flexibility and peace of mind

With only a few months left in 2021, this would normally be the perfect time to finalize holiday events.  But due to ongoing supply chain issues and uncertainty around COVID-19 restrictions, those projects kicked into high gear months ago.

These more recent issues, not to mention the last year and a half, have thrown the events industry many curveballs.  Thus, we’ve learned to pivot quickly and remain flexible, in order to execute flawlessly regardless of the circumstances.  But at Glow Global, one major takeaway has stood out from the rest – it’s never too early to start planning.

It may seem a bit unorthodox to think about next year’s Juneteenth event or to start brainstorming for your 2022 UN General Assembly events right now, but rest assured – it’s not.

Planning well in advance gives you and everyone in your organization peace of mind.  You can lock in talent, pre-record segments, and secure necessary products and materials ahead of schedule.  You can also build out detailed contingency plans and avoid scrambling to reconfigure your program at the last minute.  And, as a bonus, you’ll have extra time to build up awareness and excitement among potential attendees.

This isn’t to say that events can’t come together with shorter lead times.  If the planning period has to be condensed, there are still ways to make it work.  However, by starting early, you won’t have to give up any of the items on your event wish list.

As you plan the coming year, the following months and holidays are important to keep in mind, as they’re frequently connected to events:

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (January 17)
