These are some of Akommo’s favourite unique Barcelona event venues.

  • Barcelona Event Venue for Large Gala Dinners – Casa Llotja de Mar

Located in the centre of Barcelona city, just between the ancient Gothic Quarter and the medieval streets of the Borne neighbourhood, you’d never guess that this huge venue is tucked away here. This venue dates back to the 14th century, and since then it’s been a military barracks, the stock exchange of Barcelona, and today functions as the Chamber of Commerce. The Casa Llotja de Mar is one of the most unique, spacious, and open event venues in the city, and has an impressive amount of historical significance to Barcelona. In total, there are 7 different spaces within the building, from brightly lit indoor courtyards to official meeting rooms still used today for politicians and the King of Spain! Akommo recommends hosting a dinner for up to 700 guests at this emblematic event venue. See our entire tour of the Casa Llotja de Mar on our vlog below.

  • Barcelona Event Venue for VIP Dinner Parties- Casa Batlló

Rebuilt in 1904, this brilliant masterpiece by famous architect Antoni Gaudí (does Sagrada Familia ring a bell?) can also be your next event venue. Akommo recommends having your next corporate cocktail or VIP dinner party for up to 50 guests in the iconic Dragon Rooftop with views of the city that cannot compare to anything else. Can you just imagine having your guests sipping on cava and enjoying tapas in the Barcelona sunshine on this exclusive rooftop?

Looking for something a bit edgier for your next event? Located in the heart of the urban district of Barcelona, the Espai 88 is a favourite amongst attendees of the Mobile World Congress for its modern look and atypical location. Not to mention, the Poblenou neighbourhood is home to the booming startup community of Barcelona. If you’re looking for an open and trendy space to host your guests, look no further.
