Organisers of the Event Technology Awards have announced that entries to the 2019 edition will open at midday on Monday 1st April 2019 and will close at midnight on 31st May.

The Event Technology Awards 2019 will feature a revised list of 30 categories which will also see the return of the Outstanding Contribution to Event Technology. Last year’s award went to Reggie Aggarwal, CEO and founder of Cvent. 250 entries were submitted to last year’s awards and organisers are anticipating even more interest for 2019.

The online portal to submit entries will go live at precisely 12pm on Monday 1st April and can be accessed via www.eventtechnologyawards.co.uk. Organisers have been working with software partner, Evessio, to develop a new and seamless entry process for 2019.

Speaking about the launch of the 2019 awards, co-founder Adam Parry said:

“The first Event Technology Awards in 2013 took place at a time when the industry was simply a small collection of companies that were almost seen as minor players in the wider events industry. We’re now launching the 7th edition to a sector that has seen huge financial growth, but more importantly has seen it become a respected and vital strand of the event industry. Our own growth has mirrored that of the sector’s, and we’re extremely proud to be part of the event tech family.”

Engage powered by D2i Systems is sponsoring the awards for yet another year. Matthew Wilson, the sales and marketing director commented: “The event technology market is driving innovation in the event sector and the Event Technology Awards are celebrating those who are coming into that sector. D2i wants to drive innovation as well as our own products. We have the chance to welcome and support new companies coming into the market. From our point of view, being a sponsor of the awards encourages good awareness and good business for us too.”

For the second year running the Event Technology Awards will bridge the gap between days one and two of Event Tech Live, Europe’s only show dedicated to event technology.
