Choosing which industry events to go to is never an easy task for event planners juggling busy diaries. But unless you want to find yourself experiencing some serious #FOMO this October, there is one event you can’t afford to miss – Cvent CONNECT Europe 2019.

Cvent CONNECT Europe is the only place to get 70+ education and thought leader sessions, industry trends, learn practical event, travel and hospitality technology tips and have a chance to network with your industry peers.

More than 1,000 meetings, event and hospitality professionals are set to attend the event on 14-16 October at the InterContinental London – The O2. Since the inaugural European event in 2017, the conference has nearly tripled in size, highlighting the value that Cvent CONNECT delivers to the industry, offering attendees the unique opportunity to experience the power of live events, network, and learn the latest advancements in the meetings, events, and hospitality industries.

Conference highlights

This year, attendees will be able to gain valuable insights on how to foster their entrepreneurial spirit and deliver more impactful, world-class events from our brilliant keynote speaker Baroness Karren Brady CBE.

Not only is she the current CEO of West Ham United FC, but she was made a life peer by the Prime Minister in 2014, elevated to the House of Lords as Baroness Brady of Knightsbridge, and was also awarded a CBE from the Queen for her work in promoting Women in Business. Known for her resilience and focus, Baroness Brady will take to the main stage to describe how to combat fear of failure to get what you want and deserve and share her top six ingredients for success and how they can be implemented.

In addition to Baroness Brady’s keynote, sessions will include: ‘The State of MICE Business’, which looks at what 2020 holds for the meetings and events industry in Europe, examining the key forces affecting the larger environment in which hotels and venues work to grow their events business. ‘The Power of Storytelling – The Savoy Hotel’ will showcase how The Savoy Hotel has utilised content-rich storytelling across a fully integrated marketing campaign to drive prospects, customer engagement and MICE business results.

A session entitled ‘What Event Organisers Want’ will exclusively reveal the findings of Cvent’s survey of hundreds of event organisers throughout Europe about their budgets, priorities, preferences, concerns and requirements when choosing an event venue, while ‘The Future of Event Technology’ will see Cvent experts discuss all the tech trends taking the meetings and events industry by storm and what’s next in the fast-moving world of event tech.

Hands-on learning

During the conference, Cvent will highlight every development in event and group business technology with in-person demos and live tech tours. Attendees will be able to hop on a Tech Tour for the chance to see Cvent technology live and in action. Take a peek behind the curtain to understand how Cvent uses its own technology to put on the world’s premier event technology conference. The complete tour schedule will be announced closer to the event date.

But if you really want to know how to get the best out of your Cvent technology, make sure you attend the Cvent Academy Education Day on Monday 14 October – a full day dedicated to Cvent users to expand their product knowledge through interactive workshops and classroom-style training with Cvent experts. With no office distractions, you can focus 100% on dedicated learning during the Cvent Training workshops and walk away from each workshop with real-world learning while building hands-on in your own product account.
