2019 International Conferences in the UK That Deserve Early Attention
There are a lot of eyes on the UK, and there’ll be even more in 2019.
As I’m sure most of you will be aware, the (current) deadline for Brexit is March 29th, 2019, and there’s a lot of speculation as to how it will affect the conference space, particularly when it comes to how the Sterling exchange rate may change, as well as international travel agreements.
However, the show must go on, as they say. The events industry is worth some £39 billion to the UK economy. Whatever the multiple impacts, good or bad, that will come out of the UK leaving the EU for attendees and hosts, here we’ve handpicked some international conferences that are well worth attending regardless of changes that come our way:
1) ScotlandPHP
Over the past three years, people have traveled from all around the world to one of the foremost gatherings of the global PHP community. After a recent, successful two days in Edinburgh, Scotland PHP will return in 2019 to offer talks and workshops on the development of web applications.

Given the popularity of the conference, the organisers have released a Super Blind Bird ticket option for enthusiasts who want to be ahead of the game and are willing to commit to attending before the speakers for 2019 edition have been announced. 2) TestBash Brighton
To briefly illustrate just how popular TestBash events are, at time of writing, there is one (1!) Super Early Bird ticket left for their pre-event, three-day automation in testing course.
TestBash Brighton is in its eighth year, and its success is staggering. One can assume it’s partially down to how many options attendees have when it comes to customising what they attend and how they can get the most benefit from the conference.

3) UX London
In 2019, UX London will be 11 years old. For context, they started in the same year as the Haydron Collider was powered up, Barack Obama took office, and Lady Gaga released her first album.
In 2018, UX London was host to such speakers as the VP of Product at Intercom, the Senior Interaction Designer at Google, and the Founder of Studio D.
Next year, they’ll be hosting the event in the beautiful Trinity Laban which they describe as the “perfect place to unlock your creativity.”
As well as speakers up to the caliber of those they’ve welcomed in the past, each day of the conference will include a selection of workshops hosted by UX virtuosos. For full details, keep an eye on their 2019 site.

4) Digital Publishing Innovation Summit London
Innovation Enterprise are a vertiable powerhouse of exciting conferences.

Like I said above, they’re a powerhouse. If digital publishing isn’t quite your thing, Innovation Enterprise will also be hosting a data visualisation summit in London a month beforehand.
Among the topics being covered, the conference will showcase insights about visualization for social sharing and storytelling, the use of real-time dashboarding as well as the introduction of AI and VR tools.

6) Digital DNA 2019
As well as England and Scotland, Northern Ireland promises to be a hub of activity when it comes to events in 2019.
DigitalDNA will enter its seventh year then, and will return to St. George’s Market in Belfast.
Offering something for everyone, the conference will cover eight areas, host 3000 attendees, 150 speakers, 100 exhibitors and just over 80 hours of content. The event operates across industries with the main goal being to bring together the great minds that will push digital expansion and evolution even further in the years to come.
