Multi award winning Creative agency Smyle was appointed as production partner for the prestigious Opening Ceremony at the 2018 Ryder Cup, which took place at Le Golf Nacional in Paris from the 28th to 30th September.

By securing the contract, Smyle continued their strong relationship with Ryder Cup Europe, having produced the ceremonies at The 2010 Ryder Cup held at The Celtic Manor Resort in Wales and at the 2014 event held at Gleneagles in Scotland.

Smyle worked alongside Exec Producer Matt Wilkinson and European Tour Productions to deliver the creative and technical production for the ceremony that took place on Thursday 27th September.

Dominic Thomas-Smith, Smyle’s Events Director commented, “Over 50,000 spectators attended The Ryder Cup each day with a global audience of over 500 million watching on television. The match between Europe and the United States has become one of the most talked about contests in world sport today. Complex live experiences, like the Opening Ceremony, are what Smyle thrives on delivering – we are very proud to be involved with the event once again and to be associated with such a key fixture in the global sporting calendar”.
